     Cut-off Times:

     Half Marathon – 8:45AM (3 hours)

     10km – 9:10AM (1 hour and 30 minutes)

     5km – 9:30AM (1 hour)

     3km – 9:50AM (30 minutes)
     1.2km Child and Parent Pair – 10:15AM (30 minutes)

Awards:   1.) Top 3 for each category
                  2.) First place for the half marathon will win a year's supply of Tsuyahime Rice
                  3.) First place for the 10km will receive a half year's supply of Tsuyahime Rice

○ No refunds or credits will be issued. This applies to incidents in which the event is cancelled for any reason including personal participant circumstances of the participant (including illness and injury) and incidents in which the event is cancelled due to unforeseen weather conditions or natural disasters. 

○ You will not sue the event organizers nor its affiliates (including Samurai Sports) for any injury or death caused during the event.

○ You consent to and will give all authorities and copyright to the event organizer and affiliates for the use of photography, motion pictures, articles, recordings or any other record of this event (including personal information such as name, age, gender, personal record, portrait, and etc.) for legitimate purposes and use in newspapers, TV, magazines, internet and any media publishing such as Facebook posts, Instagram posts, and pamphlets.


Registration Rules

1.) You cannot cancel, transfer, or otherwise change your registration. The event organizer will not entertain requests for refunds, including those regarding overpayment, duplicate payments, injury, or illness. If we exceed capacity, your registration may not be valid depending on the date of payment, even if the payment is received before the registration end date.

2.) In case of earthquakes, wind and flood, snow storm, and other force majeure scenarios, the organizer has the sole right to decide on cancelling and refunding.

3.) You should not have had any heart failures, or major illnesses. You should be healthy and will train enough to enter the race. The runner will participate will take full responsibility of their own injuries, sicknesses, accidents, losses, etc.

4.) You will withdraw from the race if the race decides that that you cannot continue. You will also follow safety instructions & operations from the race director and volunteers.

5.) If you get sick before the opening ceremony, you will not object to receiving treatment. The organizer will not be responsible.

6.) The organizer will not be responsible for any accidents, loss, injuries, or sicknesses during the race. You understand that requests for compensation will not be honored.

7.) You understand that compensation for any accidents or injuries during the race will be within the limits of the insurance provided by the race.

8.) Your family, guardian (if under age), and team members (if you're the team captain) all agree to participating in the race.

9.) We do not allow false statement of age and gender nor the participation of anyone other than the person registered to enter the race. If caught, you will be disqualified and will be banned from future races. The organizer will not refund the entry fee.

10.) The use of personal information conforms to the organizers rules and laws pertaining to privacy protection.

Important Remarks

1.) Your bib must be placed on your chest & your timing chip must be on your shoes. You may be disqualified if your bib number is not placed properly. However, the Child and Parent pair race is not timed so you can finish the race together with only the bib (no timing chip).

2.) You will return the timing chips after the race. You must return the timing chip even if you decide not to participate in the race, or if you get disqualified or withdraw from the race. You will be charged 1000 yen for damaged or lost timing chips.

3.) Refer to the separate course map for each race. There will be 8 water aid locations for the half marathon, 5 water aid stations for the 10km, 3 water aid stations for the 5km, and 2 water aid stations for the 3km. (subject to change)

4.) Please be ready at the start line 10 minutes before the start time. Start times are subject to change so please be prepared and arrive early.

5.) Runners should generally run on the left side of the road.

6.) You are responsible for your own health. If you do not feel well on the day of the race, have the courage to withdraw from the race.

7.) There are cut-off times to ensure a smooth and safe transition for the general traffic and race volunteers. Follow event staff directions if you do not meet the cut-off times.

8.) Emergency vehicles have the right of way.

9.) For half marathon, 10km, 5km, and 3km, there will be intersections and railroad tracks to cross. You will be asked to stop a minute before the train arrives. Always follow event staff directions and use your common sense.

10.)  Your race packet will contain the following: timing chip, bib, and a ticket to claim your participation certificate. All lost or unreturned timing chips will result in a charge of 1,000 yen.

11.) THERE IS NO BAG CHECK SERVICE. You are responsible for your own bags. However, there will be a place to hold your valuables. The event organizers will hold up to 1 envelope of personal belongings per runner.

12.) There will be changing areas, but it will get congested so we recommend runners dressed ready to race.

13.) Photos on sale are all approved by the event organizer.

14.) Park only in designated parking spots. There will be shuttles going to the start location.

15.) The race is not responsible for any delays in public transportation and road conditions.

16.) The results will be posted on the official race website at http://gassan-m.com

17.) Drones are prohibited.

18.) On top of the rules mentioned above, you must follow directions from the race organizers.


All those registered through Samurai Sports must pick up their race packet on the day of the event between the hours of 0700 and 0830. Details regarding packet pick-up will be enclosed in your athlete guide sent 2-3 weeks before the event. Your race packet will contain the following: timing chip, bib, and a ticket to claim your participation certificate. All lost or unreturned timing chips will result in a charge of 1,000 yen .

Regarding your personal information

・The organizer is aware of the importance of your personal information. The use of personal information conforms to the organizers rules and laws pertaining to privacy protection.

・Your personal information is used to provide you valuable services, such as race information, results, service from race affiliates, result ranking, etc.

・The organizer may release your personal information when your life or body is in a life-threatening situation.

・The race organizer and its affiliates may contact you regarding your registration information.
